Have I Got News For You
Friday, 20 November 2015
I’m on Have I Got News For You tonight on BBC One (I think at a later time than usual - 9.35pm), in the host’s chair with guests Hal Cruttenden on Ian’s team and Jacob Rees-Mogg with Paul.
It was a very strange week to be on the show, obviously. There’s a single central story that can’t be ignored, and the challenge is to keep the comic spirit of the programme alive in a week when the news is bleak and terrible. But I think we got the tone right at the recording. I hope so. I was very nervous in advance and relieved afterwards, which is either a good sign or a sign that my judgment has abandoned me completely. I’m sure Twitter will let me know if it’s the latter.

After ten minutes of HIGNFY I turned to my husband and said “I think Victoria fancies Jacob” and strangely I was right! (Though I must admit to a no longer secret crush as well - much to the amusement of my husband).

I may have different political views to you, but your adult like response to JRM made me admire your level of intellect even more :-) i.e. ‘Such a generous thing to say ’

I second your comment on Jacob Rees-Mogg, and never thought I would be saying that!!

My girlfriend has a crush on JRM too and had to be restrained when VCM was flirting!

Very classless flirting with a married man though.
