Have I Got News For You
Friday, 4 November 2016
I know I’ve been really slack at posting on this website lately - too much juggling, and too seduced by the ease of the 140-character tweet - but this is just to mention that I’m hosting Have I Got News For You tonight, with guest panellists Andy Hamilton and Tim Loughton MP. It was a challenging recording last night, as news of the Brexit court case broke only a few hours before going on air (as readers of this column will know, I’d rather hoped that topic would not come up…) but it certainly made for an energetic show.
It’s on at 9pm, BBC One.

I don’t watch too much TV but was lucky enough to catch the show last evening, very entertaining…...I laughed all the way through. Recently people have been questioning ‘what makes Britain so great?’ Our humour and ability to laugh at ourselves is what makes me proud to be English. I particularly liked the bit where you got caught not knowing whether or not you should be wearing your glasses, also the look on your face when Paul and Andy admitted to not having mobile phones. You really are very funny…...hopefully you’ll be asked to host the show again and I’ll be lucky enough to catch it.

Another great performance - liked the way you dealt with attempted ‘Monthly ’ joke.

Hi Victoria
As a long-time fan of your father and now you, I was intrigued by the addition to tonight’s OC of the “find the mistake” challenge. Whilst you correctly identified the David Steel error, nobody thought to point out the “Mark Owen” for “David Owen” faux pas in the same question!
Just thought you’d like to know.
All the best.
John
