A face lift! Not me personally, of course. If I were going for surgery, I’d get a full set of new teeth and possibly a nose job before I got round to pinning my chin behind my ears. Sadly, squeamishness gets in the way, so I’m stuck with the lumps and bumps God gave me.
The WEBSITE, though, is all freshened up for the new school term! Or it’s due to be, anyway; I haven’t seen it yet. But it should all change this morning. The clever digital guys have been beavering away to address various concerns that posters have mentioned on here - the scrolling is due to get easier, no more scrolls-inside-scrolls (beautifully Indiana Jones though that was), and there will even be a button somewhere so you can choose whether to read the text as white-on-black or black-on-white. I think the white-on-black looks prettier, but the black-on-white might be easier to read.
And there should be new photos and bits of new footage on the poker page, and general rearrangement of things - including a new “newsflash” type of box, for anyone who can’t be bothered to read the news page in full each month and might therefore miss exciting stuff like a new series of Only Connect or the EPT coming back to London.
So, hope you like it. And if you don’t, please express that gently. Not like the ex-boyfriend who once looked at my new haircut and said “You look like a right trawler’s lunch.”

New Only Connect! Yay! My Mondays are now worth living through again. (Well, there’s University Challenge, and Paxman’s cute and all, but, really…)

The ‘new look’ seems OK to me!
..that’s the website not yourself VC ..a shy streak prevents me from expressing too much affection for your beautiful visage but I certainly can’t see any problems with the nose!
btw. That’s the closest I’LL get to adoration but frankly my dear if attraction was just about looks we’d all end up lonely!

Laughed at loud at the “trawlers lunch” quip. Can’t wait for the new series of Only Connect, even though the last round is probably the only one i feel confident in answering questions on. The connecting walls on the BBC website are bloody hard!

I can also assure you that there’s nothing wrong with your face. It’s so rare for someone to be both very good-looking and have a great personality – if you didn’t smoke you’d be my perfect date. The latest photos are even better – lovely smile. I hope you sent the ‘trawler’s lunch’ boyfriend packing.
I really like the new layout - I don’t feel quite so cramped, though I still prefer the white-on-black background.

Your nose and teeth are far from needing the attention of a blade, and I _know_ I’m not alone when I say the lumps and bumps God gave you are, frankly, rather beautiful.
Oh, and the website looks pretty cool too. :-)

Ooh, I’ve accidentally done an excellent job of tricking people into posting personal compliments! Well done me. And thanks very much. But the photo next to the blog gives an erroneous impression of quite reasonable teeth - it’s just the angle. Front on, they are awfully… English.
Anyway, mainly I’m hoping you like the new site - one person reported viewing problems on IE, which is being looked into, but I’m hoping everyone else can see everything okay and it’s nice and navigable. [navigeable?]

Pah, I wasn’t tricked, and my opinion wasn’t based on the (admittedly rather lovely) photo on this page. Back to the site, it seems to render fine in Chrome on MacOS X. You might want to point the techies at browsershots.org. I find it quite handy when testing various browser/OS configurations.
Oh, though while I think of it, it’s slightly frustrating that the RSS feed doesn’t seem to have anything more than the title of the blog post. As lovely as the site is, it’d be nice to be able to read the content of the posts in my aggregator.
I’ll shut up now.

There’s nothing wrong with fishing for compliments from strangers on the internet, and don’t let anybody tell you there is.
I was going to say something similar to Carl on the subject of your lumps and bumps, but taken out of context it just sounds a little bit wrong, somehow. What I will say is straight teeth are overrated.
New look is great - works fine on my IE. Never thought I’d say this about a poker video, but ‘A call’ was actually quite sweet.
Oh, and white on black all the way.

Very nice, but not sure about the photo of you on this Blog section that faces outwards of the screen. Shouldn’t you be facing to the left, like the Queen does on stamps? As it is, it looks like you’re being particularly amused by my glass of milk.

Great changes to the site, lovely photos and don’t dream of touching that nose. Black on white is easier to read but white on black is far sexier. Love the way it changes though.
Great Only Connect is starting, except that makes it feel like summer is really over.

I think English teeth are very attractive in a quirky way, I would say that as I’m English and have crooked style English teeth (all still there though and all my own)
Who wants perfectly straight bright white teeth, not me.

The new look to your website is excellent. I prefer the white on black version but I am thinking there will be fans for both versions. The new picture of you is better than the previous one when you looked quite angry I thought.
Yippee - Only Connect is back. A lovely and knowledgable way to spend 30 minutes of my TV licence!
I would love to look like an Adonis but my baldness, which started when I was 30, and my tall thin lanky appearance, not to mention my need to wear glasses at 15, ruled me out of the hunky set completely. Hence I survive loveless and forgotten.
As to yourself, well, I think you look very attractive and you are obviously intelligent as well. So just leave things as they are.

Firstly, I am the picky bugger who sent in the bug report. However the design team, and Vicky’s PA have responded in heroic fashion, and have fixed all the issues with a lightning speed, and all is now good.
The site design is rather nice, and White text on black is nearly as good looking and elegant as Vicky herself.
On the teeth comment from Vicky, your teeth are fine, and if anything show your individuality by not having them “fixed” and joining the maddingly perfect and sterile club. I speak as a guy with two tombstones in the front of his mouth.
Now, I’m gonna stop flattering a wonderful lady, and go back to reading “Theory of poker” and winning on Stars…

It’s been some time since i posted here, bit busy with work and things. Have missed reading your blog.
The site looks great, havent seen any probs with it.
As for you, you’re stunning and the teeth are great, you can’t eat an apple through a tennis racket can you? lol. Dont touch any of the lumps and bumps, they’re just divine.
From your encouragement I’ve been playing lots of poker and doing very well at both bricks and mortar as well as online, big in profit now woohoo, so thankyou for that. Have even won a few B&M tourneys at the casino.
Trawlers dinner, God how i laughed, you don’t need to know what one looks like, just the sound of it is perfectly descriptive, but I’m sure you looked great. I wouldn’t mind you looking like that if i was your boyfriend, the person is nice enough. and i smoke too lol
