Tonight’s Heresy: horse, games and space
Thursday, 23 May 2013
On tonight’s Heresy (Radio Four at 6.30), Germaine Greer is back - this time flanked by David Mitchell and Alex Horne. It was another great recording, I think, and I hope you’ll find it as funny as I do.
The received wisdoms that tonight’s guests will argue against are:
THERE SHOULD NOT BE HORSE MEAT IN A BEEF LASAGNE
MISSIONS TO MARS ARE A CREDIT TO HUMAN ENDEAVOUR
and
VIDEO GAMES SHOULD NOT BE AN OLYMPIC SPORT.
Hope you enjoy it. Free tickets are still available for the last recordings of the series: 6.30pm or 8pm on Wednesday June 5th (click here).

I was at this recording, right in the front row, and it was hilarious. I hope you and David do more stuff together as you make a great team. Perhaps you could go on The Unbelievable Truth?

Loved that show. Surprised and disappointed the Coren cult have not mentioned it, so I thought I would. Your hubby is a hoot. Cracked me up, especially in the ‘space’ round.
My dad LOVES Germaine Greer. We had hoped she might be a regular, but it seems she has wandered off since to write more about adolescent boys and the etymology of the word c*nt.
Anyway, splendid as ever. And wonderful chairing as per. Hope you’re still having fun at the felt!

What I found hilarious about the video game question is how everyone resolutely refused to even address the fact that video games aren’t athletic and that that is the ENTIRE POINT OF THE OLYMPICS. It made the whole thing kind of wonderfully sureal. I assume it was deliberate but that was one of the weirder topics.
