The World Series Of Poker is afoot in Las Vegas; Victoria will be out there for a couple of weeks and play three or four side events plus the Main Event.

Update: Well, that definitely counts as a good WSOP. VC played five events in total, and finished 17th in Event 53, the $1500 No Limit Holdem, for $26,414. In the Main Event, she had her longest run so far (Day 3); for a brief summary of her dramatic recovery from four big blinds to 85,000 followed by a bad beat and exit, see the blog. (But, in a way, if you read that last sentence, you’ve had a brief summary already).

Victoria’s now having a small American holiday, and will be back in the UK to write columns and enjoy the Olympic-related traffic jams at the end of the month.
