Going To Get The Deutschmarks

Monday, 1 March 2010

Spring is sprung, on this website at least: we’re going back into green, with a few new pictures, and hope you like the verdant feel.

Victoria will be kicking off March with both her own and the European Poker Tour’s first ever visit to Berlin. This new tournament is open to 1000 runners, which (if it fills up) would make it the biggest EPT of all time. The event runs from March 2nd to March 7th; Victoria is hoping to win a million in time to be back home watching the Oscars at midnight on the 7th. She is very sorry that she’s forgotten almost all her GCSE German and may be forced to restrict her conversation with the locals to enquiries as to the location of the post office.

At the end of the month, the GUKPT festival comes to the Victoria Casino in London; VC is hoping to play the main event. [UPDATE: Victoria did not cash in Berlin, but made the final of the GUKPT main event, finishing ninth for £9,100]

In between those gambly book-ends, she will be doing some commentary for the TV broadcast of the PCA tournament. Only Connect (BBC Four, 8.30pm on Mondays) enters the quarter-final stage from March 1st so the questions are about to get a lot harder. Good luck.
