Victoria Coren Mitchell - Writer, Broadcaster & Poker Player

Heresy, Politics And SCOOP

Saturday, 1 May 2010

Heresy, presented by Victoria Coren, returns to Radio 4 in late May, on Wednesdays at 6.30pm.
May 19th: Grayson Perry, Julia Hartley Brewer and Rufus Hound discuss art, clothes and the Large Hadron Collider.
May 26th: Marcus Brigstocke, Natalie Haynes and Richard Coles discuss transport strikes, God and Kate Middleton.
(Details of the June shows will be here next month).
If you’d like to attend one of the live recordings, in central London during May, free tickets are available via this website.

April was a great month for Victoria in live poker, having finished 26th in the EPT Final in Monte Carlo for €40,000. There is only one place better to be than Monte Carlo: Nottingham. So, roll on the Nottingham leg of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour, in the excellent Dusk Til Dawn club from May 12th-17th.

And there is only one place better to be than Nottingham: at home. That’s where Victoria will be playing the SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker), throughout May: all tournaments still have space, if you want to play huge poker tournaments (with a range of buy-ins) without leaving the house.

But VC will be leaving the house once or twice. Apart from the Heresy shows, she will be taking part in the Channel 4 coverage on election night, and then on Thursday May 13th cropping up as a guest on Charlie Brooker’s show You Have Been Watching, also on Channel 4.
